At Byona Biyinzika Mininstries we improve the lives of the elderly by meeting their social, spiritual and emotional needs.BBM reaches out to the elderly people from the ages 55years upwards regardless of sex, tribe, or religion. Uganda has a population of approximately 41 million of which 5% are elderly above 55years and most of them live in rural areas where they are often neglected or abandoned with little care or no access to medical services.With health centers being  far  the elderly being weak , the lack of transportation and often access to basic needs  there is need for help and that is where we come in. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.

Who We Are
BBM was formed in 2000 as incorporation and later turned to A Non-Government Organization (NGO) in 2017.BBM is located at 720 Nambole road Bweyogerere, Uganda. BBM is driven by a single goal; To Improve the Lives of the elderly by meeting their social, spiritual and emotional needs.In 2017 BBM acquired a mobile clinic called Byona Byinzika Eldery Mobile clinic improving and changing the lives of the eldery in the Ugandan society.

Screening and testing
Goals
To provide assistance to elderly community through palliative and hospice care.
To conduct mobile clinics in different rural areas of Uganda, enabling screening for HIV/AIDS, hypertension, diabetes, typhoid, malaria and other infectious disease common to the elderly.
To fight elderly abuse in Ugandan society that is often neglected.
To promote elderly literacy; by sensitizing them about clean, safe water and nutrition
To empower the elderly in Uganda to live a decent and enjoyable life.
To create an elderly center that provides support in terms of grooming, counselling,treatment and essential needs.

Achivements
Through the mobile clinic we have managed to visit a number of villages and towns in Uganda. With every visit we offer screening , treatment and provision of essential commodities and services to a cohort of about 200-250 people through our transnational mobile clinic.
Statistics
We have been to about 7 Districts and counting; Kayunga,Mityana,Iganga,Luwero and Mbale.
Palliative Care; We have about 40 patients under palliative and hospice care who are visited weekly.
We have about 3 areas of operation with more than 15 patients seen; Namutamba ,Kyagalanyi and Kayunga .
Making a total of 45 patients under BBM palliative and hospice care;Bamunanika elderly group and support group for the elders in Luwero district.
Home health nursing Agency; with six patients so far that are visited as needed (PRN)
